I saw the buck around 75 meters away rubbing and scraping. After 20 minutes or so, he came closer. He walked into the thicked infront of me, and only gave me a short window of opportunity. Hmm, better luck next time! #selfbow #traditionalbowhunting #bowhunting #bukkejagt

Black Eagle X-Impact micro diameter - Only outsert, no center pin! What to do?
Best archer and hunter on UA-cam.
Beautiful bow 🏴
Thank you
What draw weight you shooting
Around 50 on the fingers
Nice job over all on the build. 👍
Hold your hatchet at the very end of the handle. May improve your "technique".
Juuls Where's your safety harness only takes once buddy!
I have my saddle on. Line goes from the waist. So you cant see it.
Thank you for the endless joy you bring me. Bueatiful farm land. Like I grew up on. Great sportsmanship.
Very clever, yes sir.
Why are you whispering He deceased can't hear you. Delicious!
Sorry to ask, I'm sure you mentioned it before, but what is the poundage of this bow, and what are your hunting poundages in general? Great shooting!
The limbs are 50 at 28”. The riser angle are a little more steep than the limbs are build fore. So I’m ending up with around 49 pounds on the fingers. Depending on the bow, I shoot around 45 - 50 pounds i general. Arrows for this video are 530 grain. Always ask, no problem🏹
very quite bow, what brandvisvit? Well done sir👍
Yes that's great Peter, from fred nz thank you
Very clever, what are lovely idea to make out of a broken bow a postitive.
Good 👍
Good👍
I would not waste time on these doubters. They cannot shoot the way you do because they lack the discipline and willingness to learn and practice.
Not a Hill style (ASL), A reflex deflex bow
I’m not all that perfectionistic about what they are called and how the handle and flex needs to be. There is alot of middle space bows out there with a little of every style
1 minute ago Can you cut slits with scissors on the plastic vanes so they can compress better
I dont know if that will help. These are Trad vanes, which are softer than original ones. If you slice them, maybe they’ll be more noisy. IDK
The NEW Bear super magnums are SHIT! I had two of them and they both blew up on me, pure JUNK! The old vintage Bear Super Mags were of much higher quality.I bought one back in the early 70's and shot it for over 40 years! When Fred Bear died so did Bear Archery. You should have sent that bow back to them and had them replace it. You would've gotten another piece of inferior shit but it might have lasted you a year or two? The Bear Archery company today is a JOKE. If Fred Bear could see the inferior junk they're turning out today he would turn over in his grave!
I have a vintage Grizzly 1974 and that’s a good one.
That is quite original .. Looks good nice souvenir.
Great job and very good idea to keep the memories of the good times together in the woods!
Haha very creative way of making something useful out of a broken bow. 😁
Needs some of Teresa's Wool...make a wool hood lamp shade..
Wow! Amazing way to keep a bow "alive!"
Yes that’s what I was thinking👍
Great idea Peter. You should make that a side hustle. With Bear quality nowadays you’d make a fortune!
Hahaha great Idea 😂 but I would probably have to figure out a name for the bows, as Bear wouldent allow me to call it broken Bear bow lambs😂 anyways this method works for all brand one piece recurves
New Bear bows are SHIT!
Excellent video as always! I have a quick question: After you shoot the animal, what are the next steps? Where do you take it, and how do you transport it? How about the field dressing and processing the meat? Thanks for sharing your expertise!
@@peterjuulsgaard Awesome! Well, if ever you've got the inclination to show, I'm sure many of us would love to see these technicalities. I think it would be a very interesting video! Thank you friend! Have a great one!
It’s not really allowed on youtube🤷♂️ In this video the field dressing is at the end ua-cam.com/video/K555wg0oJis/v-deo.htmlsi=W4uMgfuEoSCR3VB0
Well peter, there's always light at the end of the tunnel 😂 nice job 👏
Exactly
That is such a great idea well executed!
Thank you
Beautiful shot!
We always hope they will last forever and it's sad when a bow breaks, but they do break. The lamp is an excellent idea and turned out great. 🙂
I wish i had done that with my broken bow. It was my first "real' bow a Cravota Brothers Black Hawk. Over the years I used it to teach multiple people how to shoot then one day it just gave way while hanging up strung. I held onto it for years looking for a good way to use it but eventually threw it away when I moved :(
Yeah! This concept works for all brands of one piece recurve bows
perfect 👌👍
Good Job 👍👍
Thsnk you
What a cool idea! Thanks for sharing
Thank you. Your welcome
very cool way to salvage a broken bow, you have history with the bow and even those it was broken, you made it useful again. Well done Sir
Thank you sir. Might as well make something out of ti
So awesome Peter, nice video
Thank you
Superbe !
Excelsior ✊️
😂 Very creative! Don’t know why but every time I have seen a bow breaking it has always been a Bear bow. Pure coincidence? …😬🤔
Well I think this model holds the record for lamp material. All bowyers are running a risk with a 48” bow
Hahaha 😊
😂
Nice work Peter a fine remembrance
Thanks
Would you like a matching lamp in the Bear Super Mag 48? Mine went to pretzel land... a moment of silence please...
🫣🤐
Well done. I'm glad you did not reveal what you were making, it was more entertaining that way.
Awesome way to keep the memories alive!!
Yes sir
That's awesome! I'll try this when one of my bows take a crap on me!
👌
Awesome way to keep the memories close.
Yes sir
What a great idea.
Thought I would share it. Thanks for watching
I hated that the bow broke I just got a bear super mag 48 . But the lamp is cool
The bow is best for short draw archers. If you draw it longer than 27” there will be a risk over the years. But it is a cool bow
Funny to say but I'm looking forward to brake one of my bows! 😊 Really really nice! Greetings from Sweden!
Haha at some point during a bowmans life he will experience this. Greetings
Oh Horrors Pete. I've just received my brand new Bear Super Kodiak. I love this bow and it;'s become my go to. I hope it doesn't end up like this bow!
No no the Super Kodiak is a completely different bow. Congrats on the new bow. I have a Super Kodiak Phenolic my self
It will count on it, they're JUNK!
@@peterjuulsgaard Are you sure it's a Supermag 48? That's a 48" AMO bow. Yours says 52" AMO, which makes me think it's a Kodiak Magnum.
Yes it is a Supermag 48 even though it says otherwise. It’s also bought as a Supermag 48 back in 2013. The text on it are wrong too😂
