I saw the buck around 75 meters away rubbing and scraping. After 20 minutes or so, he came closer. He walked into the thicked infront of me, and only gave me a short window of opportunity. Hmm, better luck next time! #selfbow #traditionalbowhunting #bowhunting #bukkejagt

    Sorry to ask, I'm sure you mentioned it before, but what is the poundage of this bow, and what are your hunting poundages in general? Great shooting!

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard 8 днів тому

      The limbs are 50 at 28”. The riser angle are a little more steep than the limbs are build fore. So I’m ending up with around 49 pounds on the fingers. Depending on the bow, I shoot around 45 - 50 pounds i general. Arrows for this video are 530 grain. Always ask, no problem🏹

    1 minute ago Can you cut slits with scissors on the plastic vanes so they can compress better

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard 14 днів тому

      I dont know if that will help. These are Trad vanes, which are softer than original ones. If you slice them, maybe they’ll be more noisy. IDK

    The NEW Bear super magnums are SHIT! I had two of them and they both blew up on me, pure JUNK! The old vintage Bear Super Mags were of much higher quality.I bought one back in the early 70's and shot it for over 40 years! When Fred Bear died so did Bear Archery. You should have sent that bow back to them and had them replace it. You would've gotten another piece of inferior shit but it might have lasted you a year or two? The Bear Archery company today is a JOKE. If Fred Bear could see the inferior junk they're turning out today he would turn over in his grave!

    I wish i had done that with my broken bow. It was my first "real' bow a Cravota Brothers Black Hawk. Over the years I used it to teach multiple people how to shoot then one day it just gave way while hanging up strung. I held onto it for years looking for a good way to use it but eventually threw it away when I moved :(
